  • Popis: Laya Films documentary produced during the Spanish Civil War on the mass demonstration held in Barcelona on 8 November 1936 in honour of the USSR to commemorate the nineteenth anniversary of the Russian Revolution. The demonstration, which ran through the main streets of the city, finished in Plaça de la República. The president, Lluís Companys, and Russian consul, Antonov Ovseyenko, along with other official figures, appeared on the balcony of Palau de la Generalitat to greet the crowd. Includes images of the demonstrators: farmers, workers, soldiers, people from a variety of political parties and organisations, such as the Iberian Anarchist Federation (FAI) and the National Confederation of Labour (CNT), among others, who marched under numerous banners and flags.
